Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented and versatile individual to join our team as a Data Scientist and Project Manager. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience with lab-derived data analysis and modeling in the field of Plant Science, and a proven ability to manage and execute projects effectively. Key Responsibilities:
Collect, process, and analyze large lab-collected datasets to derive actionable insights for improving agricultural practices.
Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms to enhance crop productivity and sustainability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver comprehensive analytical solutions.
Visualize data and present findings through reports, dashboards, and presentations to various stakeholders.
Keep abreast of the latest trends and advancements in data science and agricultural biological innovation.
Plan, initiate, and oversee projects related to data science and agricultural innovation.
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in alignment with collaborative objectives and company objectives.
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, effectively allocating resources.
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely and efficient execution of projects.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Provide regular updates and reports to the CEO and other senior management.
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
Master’s degree or PhD in Data Science, Plant Science, Agronomy, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning.
Proven project management experience, including planning, executing, and monitoring plant science laboratory or fieldwork.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or similar
platforms.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
Excellent collaboration, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to
convey complex information to non-technical audiences.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize
and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Experience or interest in the agricultural sector is preferred.
