Norton Heart Specialists, a part of Norton Healthcare located in Louisville, Kentucky, is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible general cardiologist to join its growing Women’s Heart Health team on the campus of Norton Women's & Children's Hospital which delivers 6,000+ babies per year. Norton Heart & Vascular Institute's group of providers consists of more than 50 board-certified cardiovascular physicians, more than 45 advanced practice providers and 200 support staff. Norton Heart & Vascular Institute is a progressive group of practices that maintains more than 57% of the total cardiovascular market share, more than any other health care provider in our service area. It offers comprehensive cardiovascular care, including specialized programs for electrophysiology, structural heart disease, advanced cardiac imaging, cardio-obstetrics and advanced heart failure, including mechanical circulatory support and cardiac rehabilitation.

About the Position
The Norton Women's Heart Health Program offers specialized care for women's heart health, focusing on unique needs during all life stages, including pregnancy and menopause:
- Must be fellowship-trained in general cardiology
- Will provide IP and OP services on the campus of Norton Women's & Children's Hospital with the opportunity to work at Norton Hospital located downtown
- The program is led by board-certified cardiologists with expertise in women's cardiovascular disease, addressing conditions such as high blood pressure, atrial fibrillation, and ischemic heart disease
- The program aims to improve women's heart health, especially during pregnancy, as heart disease is a leading cause of death among women
- The program collaborates with Norton Children's Maternal-Fetal Medicine to provide comprehensive care for women with high-risk pregnancies
- Access to advanced technology and specialty care through the Norton Heart & Vascular Institute Advanced Heart Failure & Recovery Program, Structural Heart Program, Heart Rhythm Center, Atrial Fibrillation Clinic, Women’s Heart Program, Chest Pain Clinic, comprehensive cardiac rehabilitation centers and more

Requirements for the position
- Medical degree/diploma
- Residency/fellowship certification
- Kentucky and Indiana medical license or license eligible
