- Three tenure-track positions in Microbiology, Genomics, and Bioinformatics
Description
The Department of Biology at the University of Texas at Arlington invites applicants for multiple tenure-track faculty positions:
Assistant or Associate Professor of Bioinformatics: https://apply.interfolio.com/173695
We invite applications from researchers working at the interface of data science and biology to investigate fundamental questions in the life sciences. Priority will be given to candidates whose work uses computational and data-driven approaches to explore complex biological systems or processes by integrating across multiple levels of organization, from genes to organisms, populations, and ecosystems. We are also interested in research that integrates diverse data types, such as genomic, phenotypic, environmental, or ecological data, to uncover patterns, mechanisms, and emergent properties underlying biological function, health, disease, and/or ecosystem dynamics.
Assistant Professor of Genomics: https://apply.interfolio.com/173698
Areas of priority include, but are not limited to, spatially-resolved functional genomics, cell signaling, genetics and epigenetics studies, especially from an integrative perspective, with the long-term goal of unraveling the complex physiological, genetic, and/or epigenetic mechanisms that contribute to human diseases.
Assistant Professor of Microbiology: https://apply.interfolio.com/173702
Research areas of interest include, but are not limited to, microbial pathogenesis and physiology, antibiotic resistance, microbial genetics, host-microbe interactions, synthetic biology, systems microbiology, food microbiology, and the impact of microbes on environments.
