At BAE Systems Controls Inc., our Subcontracts Management team plays a vital role in sourcing complex hardware and innovative technology from world-class suppliers to deliver cutting-edge products to our customers. As a Subcontracts Administrator, you will be part of a team that partners with suppliers to drive business success and make a positive impact.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Subcontracts Administrator to manage contractual activities with key suppliers, including soliciting and evaluating proposals, negotiating costs, and administering subcontract files. Key Responsibilities:
* Procure materials, equipment, supplies, and services for complex aircraft electronics based on program-specific requirements and specifications
* Develop subcontracts in accordance with specifications, requirements, work statements, and terms and conditions
* Serve as the focal point for bid reviews, evaluating technical and cost proposals, negotiating subcontract provisions, and selecting subcontractors based on best overall value
* Consult with company staff to ensure subcontract awards align with legal, technical, financial, and managerial interests
* Ensure accurate and timely receipt of subcontractor-submitted documents, including invoices and resolving invoice issues
* Negotiate additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts and support invoicing resolution
* Manage supplier performance, including cost, quality, technical, and delivery aspects, while building effective relationships with suppliers and internal/external customers
* Follow established procurement policies and procedures to ensure best value for the program
* Communicate subcontract performance internally and externally, prepare and present subcontractor briefings, and adopt best practices to support key business initiatives

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of work experience within a Contracts/Procurement/Subcontracts organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Excellent time management/organizational skills
- Negotiation skills and ability to find win-win solutions; a 'make it happen' attitude
- Proficient use of MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations policies and procedures, FAR/DFAR
- U.S. Citizenship required
- 10% Travel required
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Willingness and desire for continuous improvement
- Sharing of thought and knowledge
- Familiarity with Oracle purchasing system
- Cost Analysis experience
- Bachelor's Degree in related discipline and 8 years or more of directly related work experience preferably in a government or commercial contracting environment
- Graduate Degree in a related field.
- Professional Supply Chain Certification: C.P.M., C.P.S.M., P.M.P.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $73778 - $125422
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
