Description
Job Title: Senior Traceability SMELocation: London (Hybrid - 3 days in office)
Contract Type: 6-Month Contract (Strong potential for extension)
Day Rate: £703.22 via Umbrella company
Role Summary
This role sits within HSBC's Integrity of Regulatory Reporting (IRR) Programme, which aims to enhance end-to-end prudential regulatory reporting processes to meet evolving regulatory expectations. Led by Finance, the programme is cross-functional and includes strategic initiatives such as Finance on the Cloud, Basel III Reforms, and Risk 2025.
The Senior Traceability SME will support the IRR Traceability Central Team, focusing on core regulatory reporting controls and ensuring traceability of PRA returns. The role involves developing and enhancing controls, maintaining compliance with policy and programme requirements, and supporting audit readiness through robust documentation and governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the IRR Central Team in delivering end-to-end traceability aligned with regulatory rules.
- Contribute to effective cost management across the IRR PRA Programme.
- Maintain awareness and control of operational risk, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Collaborate with Compliance to ensure adherence to financial services laws and codes.
- Manage complex stakeholder relationships across global programmes.
- Prepare and present documentation, reports, and meeting packs for senior stakeholders.
- Produce monthly management information (MI) and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
- Support the development of tooling solutions and data analysis processes.
- Escalate risks and issues appropriately and contribute to senior management reporting.
- Maintain strong working relationships across Finance, Risk, and other stakeholder groups.
Key Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong background in business analysis within regulatory reporting, particularly capital reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills, including data manipulation and presentation (PowerPoint).
- Experience with large, complex financial data models.
- Ability to identify and mitigate risks, and escalate issues effectively.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable Skills:
- Proficiency in VBA and Excel Macros.
- Experience in tooling and systems interface development.
Not Suitable For:
