As we experience major expansion across our client base and use cases, we are seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Manager to join our Professional Service Team. In this role, you will manage complex projects across the financial services, private equity, and analytics sectors to ensure that our innovative solutions are delivered with the highest level of performance and client satisfaction.
The role
As a Senior Project Manager at CEPRES, you will oversee full project life-cycles from initial planning through successful delivery, working closely with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders. You will be responsible for coordinating all project activities, ensuring robust project governance, and acting as a primary point of contact between our clients and internal teams. This role requires hands-on management of project schedules, resources, change, risks, and issues, with occasional involvement in pre-sales engagements to scope projects and develop detailed statements of work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end project life cycles, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including milestones, deliverables, and resource allocations specific to the financial services and private equity sectors.
Monitor progress and quality of deliverables, proactively identifying risks and issues while implementing effective mitigation strategies.
Client Engagement & Pre-Sales Support
- Collaborate with the sales team during pre-sales engagements to understand client needs, define project scope, and develop detailed statements of work.
- Coordinate initial planning sessions with clients to define objectives, resources, and timelines, ensuring alignment with CEPRES's strategic vision and client investment
- strategies.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Team Management
- Serve as a key liaison between clients and internal teams-including consultancy, product management, data acquisition, and finance-to guarantee seamless communication and effective resource allocation.
- Facilitate regular project status meetings and provide clear progress reports to stakeholders, ensuring issues are escalated and managed effectively.
Governance, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement
- Implement and adhere to robust project governance frameworks, ensuring all projects meet CEPRES quality standards and compliance requirements.
- Maintain detailed project documentation, create status reports, dashboards, and presentations that communicate progress, risks, and outcomes.
- Identify and promote process improvements to enhance project management practices and operational efficiency within the Professional Service Team.
Innovation, Mentorship, and Knowledge Sharing
- Encourage a culture of innovation by sharing best practices and insights to continuously elevate project management capabilities within the team and broader organization.
- Mentor junior project managers and team members, fostering their professional development and contributing to a high-performance team environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Project Manager experience within Fin-tech, Private Markets, Investment Banking or Financial Services required.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, high-stakes projects within financial services, private equity, or data analytics environments.
- Experience managing multiple projects and any PMO experience is a plus.
- In-depth understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices, with a strong attention to detail and focus on quality.
- PMI or Prince2 experience a big plus
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders, including high-level financial clients, and to manage change, risk, and governance issues.
- Experience working in or with teams focused on innovative and data-driven solutions in a highly dynamic environment.
Demonstrated skills in facilitating cross-functional teams, mitigating project risks, and achieving project objectives under tight deadlines. - Proficiency in advanced project management software, CRM systems, and data analytics platforms tailored for financial applications.
Ability and willingness to travel occasionally for client engagements, project deployments, and industry events. - Bachelor's degree in business administration, Project Management, IT, Finance, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree or MBA is an advantage.
- PMI Certification is a plus
