Description
YOUR ROLEWe are looking for a hands-on Senior Product Manager (m/f/d). You will translate the product vision into an actionable roadmap, drive day-to-day execution, and ship high-impact features that materially improve how analysts and portfolio managers generate insights and construct portfolios.
You will work on BIT Capital's interactive research platform that surfaces data insights built on very large-scale data and LLM/statistical pipelines, with material, measurable impact on alpha generation across our funds. This is atechnicalproduct role: the majority of your work will focus on data pipelines, while also shaping user experiences and front-end workflows to deliver these insights. You'll also contribute to portfolio analytics and compliance workflows and, over time, support internal tools for Sales/Marketing/Operations and client-facing experiences. Initially, you will coordinate the product management function for a team of 5+ engineers, with the expectation to grow into coordinating the work of the data science and AI engineering teams.
Success is measured by improvements in research productivity and time-to-insight, and a demonstrable positive impact on fund performance.
Key responsibilities:
- Roadmap & prioritization:Run weekly planning in Linear with Engineering; keep a sequenced roadmap and a clean backlog; keep specs/PRDs current.
- Delivery & releases:Define acceptance criteria, coordinate UAT, and manage releases with clear change notes; triage and prioritize bugs/regressions and coordinate fixes; post-launch, track feature adoption and productivity impact.
- UX & front-end:Define user journeys and UI specs with Design/Frontend to surface model/data outputs with context, confidence, and clear actions; ensure performance and consistency.
- Data product & datasets:Discover datasets for priority use cases; lead vendor scouting and relationships; coordinate evaluations with Engineering/Data Science. Align on ingestion requirements, freshness SLAs, data contracts, and schema changes; assist with simple renewals.
- Compliance & governance: Ensure internal tools meet regulatory, auditability, and entitlements/permissions requirements; partner with Compliance on documentation and pre-launch checks.
- Build the product function: Coordinate PM for a team of 5+ engineers; mentor junior PMs; as we scale, expand coordination to Data Science and AI Engineering and help shape hiring, rituals, and standards.
YOUR PROFILE
- 5+ years managing a data product of strategic importance (B2B data/ML/analytics platform preferred), owning roadmap, specs, and delivery end-to-end
- Previous product experience in the investment/financial data space (e.g., alternative data platforms, financial research/terminal products) is preferred, but not strictly required
- Demonstrated experience with modern data & AI stacks: Databricks/Spark (Delta Lake), Snowflake; ETL/ELT orchestration (e.g., Airflow or Databricks Jobs); and LLM workflows (APIs, prompts, guardrails, evaluation, RAG).
- Able to define product requirements and evaluation criteria for data/LLM pipelines and apply core statistics; aware of typical financial/alt-data pitfalls (survivorship bias, look-ahead bias, seasonality).
- Familiarity with AWS (S3, IAM, ECS/EKS or Lambda) and modern web front-ends (React/TypeScript) to scope end-to-end features.
- Comfortable reading/writing SQL and using Python for lightweight validation, data checks, and analysis (e.g., in Databricks)
- Strong product execution: from discovery and PRDs to release and measurable outcomes; disciplined backlog and release management in Linear
- Excellent stakeholder collaboration and crisp written communication (specs, docs, decision logs)
- Investment knowledge/passion: Prior familiarity with stock investing is highly preferred; at minimum, a voracious interest to learn quickly and deeply
- Language: English required; German nice to have
YOUR MINDSET

- You are keen to build products that drive very high business impact.
- You are proactive, entrepreneurial, and thrive in a transparent, high-performance team culture.
- You challenge the status quo and take ownership from vision to impact while staying pragmatic and data-informed.
OUR BENEFITS

- Work with the brightest minds in the industry and become part of a unique success story in Europe
- An experienced, international team with professional colleagues and strong experts for an inspiring network
- Flat hierarchy and direct interaction with the management and senior staff of BIT Capital
- Assumption of responsibility from day one
- Competitive Salary package
How to apply for this position
Please include your resume and a brief note describing a product you've owned end-to-end, the outcomes you achieved, and how you measured success. Links to specs, PRDs, or shipped features welcome.
