As a Senior Principal Contract Administrator in the Tactical Solutions contracts department, reporting to a Manager, Contracts, you will assume a hands-on role as an individual contributor.
The Finance Strategic Capabilities Unit delivers the expertise and business acumen to increase value across the enterprise by providing actionable information with recommendations and opportunities to drive sustainable business growth.
What You'll Do:
- Provide active contract negotiation and administration on a variety of programs encompassing all phases of the contract life cycle (pre-proposal through contract closeout).
- Collaborate with other employees in the department, cross-functionally and with program personnel, and for establishing effective relationships with key customers.
- Be the contracting expert in the room when working with program teams.
- Review contracts and related documents to assess risk to the company and recommend mitigation approaches. Ensure compliance with various federal regulations and BAE Systems policies.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in a related degree plus 8 or more years related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- Experience in a contracts function or equivalent experience in DoD contracting.
- Sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with company personnel, leadership, and customers.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to make decisions using sound judgement while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
- Computer skills to maintain contract records within our business systems as well as demonstrated research and presentation skills.
- Expert-level hands-on knowledge and experience with the FAR and DFARS.
A security clearance or access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position. However, the applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience with large, complex RFPs and proposal development.
- Experience managing various USG and prime contract customers.
- An active DoD SECRET clearance and holds or is eligible for a Special Access Program clearance.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $116419 - $197912
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
