Join our dynamic team where your talent for translating complex financial data into strategic insights will directly influence our retrocession strategy, risk management, and business growth. This specialized role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our global insurance operations.
About the Role
As a Senior Financial Analyst for Global Products, you'll develop your expertise in financial performance analysis for Corporate Solutions' retrocession agreements. This growth-oriented position will allow you to build skills in providing valuable insights that contribute to our reinsurance strategy. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals while developing your abilities in financial modeling and transforming retrocession data into meaningful business analysis and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the financial analysis, reporting, and tracking of Corporate Solutions' retrocession agreements
• Develop and maintain advanced financial models to evaluate retrocession profitability, and impact on our portfolios
• Provide insightful commentary and recommendations on retrocession financial results to support strategic decision-making
• Partner with Underwriting Product Heads to identify retrocession performance trends and optimization opportunities
• Design and implement robust reporting frameworks that enhance visibility into retrocession performance metrics
• Conduct variance analysis between actual results and forecasts for retrocession agreements, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions
• Support the annual planning process for retrocession strategies, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial projections
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance retrocession reporting efficiency and analytical capabilities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between retrocession financial objectives and broader business strategies
About the Team
Our team is responsible for complete and accurate controlling and reporting of Corporate Solutions' insurance products and acting as key business partners towards Underwriting Product Heads. We are further developing and strengthening our financial controlling and performance reporting capabilities, to build a robust performance reporting and monitoring process, acting as a value-adding business partner towards the business.
About You
The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical capabilities with demonstrated expertise in financial analysis and interpretation. You exhibit exceptional attention to detail combined with the ability to synthesize complex retrocession data into actionable business intelligence. Your professional approach to stakeholder management enables effective collaboration across organizational boundaries. You demonstrate a methodical problem-solving mindset and maintain a commitment to accuracy and precision in financial reporting and analysis within reinsurance contexts.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or professional certification (CPA, CFA) preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably with focus on retrocession or reinsurance within the insurance industry
• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and performance reporting techniques for reinsurance agreements
• Strong understanding of retrocession economics, risk transfer mechanisms, and performance metrics
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex retrocession financial information to diverse audiences
These are additional nice to haves:
• Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView
• Knowledge of SAP or other enterprise financial systems
• Understanding of IFRS 17 and other relevant accounting standards for reinsurance
• Experience in process automation and reporting optimization for retrocession analysis
• Familiarity with reinsurance concepts and accounting
For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 2,100] and [EUR 3,400] per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
• the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.
