The Senior Sourcing Category Manager - Software, will be a senior member of the Technology Sourcing team within Northern's Global Procurement function. Responsible for procurement of IT Software, this role will play a critical role in the development and execution of sourcing strategies to support Northern's strategic sourcing goals.
Major Duties
- Responsible for development and execution of sourcing strategies to procure and/or renew Technology products and services.
- Identify potential suppliers and negotiate to ensure that cost optimization and quality goals are met within business timelines.
- Establish and maintain relationship with key partners, education on policy/guidelines and resolve related purchasing issues.
- Responsible for contract review, including review of NDAs, Master Agreements, SaaS Agreements, Statements of Work, Order Forms, etc. and lead all aspects of contract & price negotiations and ongoing contract administration.
- Responsible for maintenance of procurement processes and procedures.
- Leads and manages RFx (e.g. Request for Proposal, Request for Information, Request for Quote) process, including project management, development of RFx, negotiations and award process.
- Manages and supports regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Manages reporting of Procurement performance metrics.
- Supports and monitors supplier adherence to contracts, manage suppliers via supplier activity reporting and business/performance reviews, support and conduct supplier scorecards, supplier rationalization and demand management opportunities.
- Utilize and maintain Contract Management System Coupa, including loading of final agreements.
- Serves as technical expert with in-depth knowledge in area of procurement and supply chain management.
Experience :Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management or Finance and eight or more years' experience in Sourcing or Procurement related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. MBA or other advanced degree and a professional Procurement/ Supply Chain Management designation (e.g. CSCP, CPM) are a strong plus.
Salary Range:
$83,100 - 141,300 USD
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
