NanoBeat is a European Commission funded Horizon 2020 project coordinated by Prof. Dr. med. Constanze Schmidt, University Medical Centre Göttingen and University Medical Centre Heidelberg, which aims to develop and establish a novel, innovative therapy for arrhythmia involving conductive 'heart tattoos' made of gold or silver to stabilise the heart rhythm in the long term.
To achieve this goal and to efficiently integrate the therapy into clinical research the NanoBeat consortium has brought together leading European academic and non-academic technology development institutions and companies.
The University Medical Centre Göttingen is also one of the 6 partner sites of the German Centre for Cardiovascular Research (DZHK). The successful candidate is going to join the established DZHK partner site management team in Göttingen and contribute to the management of one of the 8 German Centres for Health Research (DZG) (5.8h/week in 2026).
Your tasks
Your tasks
- Supporting activities related to data governance, legal frameworks (EU and BMBF), ethical conformity, risk management, technical implementation and use case development, in line with the strategic direction of the Horizon 2020 project
- Facilitating strategic meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements (online and in-person) to ensure productive collaborations and clear outcomes through the use of effective tools and structured processes
- Detailed protocol management and transparent documentation of all processes
- Maintaining close communication with internal and external stakeholders, including regular reporting to the European Commission as well as the BMBF (DZHK)
- Monitoring project progress (deliverables, milestones), finances and quality assurance of scientific results
- Preparing scientific reports for the EU and the BMBF (periodic reports, deliverables) and participating in reviews
- Close cooperation with the administrative staff at all network partner institutions regarding administrative, budget and contractual duties
Your qualifications
Your qualifications
- Completed university degree in life sciences [preferably PhD]
- Experience in scientific coordination or management of large-scale cooperative research projects
- Previous experience with consortium organization is an advantage, especially within the DZGs or an EU consortium
- Affinity for handling financial figures
- Previous experience in a clinical research environment is advantageous
- Strong organizational skills and an eye for critical details
- A profound and very high level of communication skills
- Excellent English and German skills (spoken and written)
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, in a conceptual and structured manner, as well as a high degree of responsibility, initiative, commitment and reliability
- Ability and willingness to travel within the consortium (within Europe/Germany)
- Represent the consortium management at conferences and meetings
