Role Purpose:
Capital Dynamics is seeking aSales Support Associateto join our Business Development ("BD") team in our Seoul (South Korea) office.
Working alongside the Senior Managing Director - Business Development and Vice President, the Sales Support Associate will provide assistance on a range of activities in support of product market and fundraising activities for all Capital Dynamics investment products. The ideal candidate is an organized, resourceful individual with experience providing support across a range of activities.
In addition to supporting the Senior Managing Director and Vice President, the post-holder will work closely with team members across our broader Business Development (BD), Product Development & Strategy ("PDS"), Marketing & Communications ("MarComms"), Client Relations ("CR"), Legal and Compliance, and Investment Management ("IM") teams.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the senior business development or sales professional across a range of activities, including but not limited to meeting scheduling, diary management, travel arrangements, conference marketing support, meeting prep notes, and post-call notes etc.
- Conduct ongoing research to generate leads / identify new potential investors in support of the Senior Managing Director and Vice President.
- Monitor databases to identify investment searches - develop and maintain a tracking sheet outlining the status of all ongoing RFP searches.
- Monitor relevant industry databases, including Preqin, S&P MMD, etc., and manage the CRM (Microsoft Dynamics 365) on an ongoing basis, including weekly updates/clean-up.
- Liaise with the Product Development and Strategy ("PDS") team to complete client DDQ (Due Diligence Questionnaire), RfP (Request for Proposals), and RFI (Request for Information) as necessary.
- Liaise with client relations, operations, fund accounting, and legal to collect responses to various client questions and provide a final draft to the Managing Director.
- Prepare marketing materials (e.g., due diligence presentations, ad-hoc requests) working alongside the Marketing, Legal, PDS, and Client Relations teams.
- Assist with the fund closing process - i.e,. managing subscription documents and liaising with Legal, Tax, and Compliance.
Key Competencies and Experience:
- 2 to 5 plus years of experience in a sales support or sales project management role - ideally with an asset management, private equity, or institutional investment consulting firm, with a focus on private assets preferred, but not essential.
- Strong organizational, project, and process management skills and the ability to work well with others and operate in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to proofread own work and the work of others.
- Ability to work under tight timeframes and manage strict deadlines.
- Highly organized with great attention to detail.
- A strong networker with the ability to source opportunities independently.
- Able to work under tight timeframes and manage strict deadlines.
Education and Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree with a strong academic background.
- Exceptional proficiency in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel.
Languages:
- Must be fluent in English and display superior writing skills.
