Project Manager
Reports to: Director of Operations; Full Time Hourly (Overtime Eligible)
JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY:
Two of the three major branches of Angel City Lumber are the Manufacturing Branch(aka Honoring Branch) and the Sales Branch (aka Reconnecting Branch). These two branches work in concert in taking an abstract design from concept to physical reality for our customers in the Los Angeles community.
This role is designed for individuals pursuing a career in project management and operations, not as a pathway into design, architecture or drafting. The Project
Manager will thrive if they enjoy communication, organization, and bringing projects to completion through collaboration.
The primary focus of the Project Manager is to efficiently and effectively manage incoming sales projects to ensure deliverables are met and client satisfaction is achieved. This will be accomplished in partnership and through communication with the Salesperson, Estimator, Manufacturing Manager and the given client to ensure smooth design iteration and coordinated manufacturing. Project timelines will be monitored by the Project Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Interfacing and building relationships with clients daily over email and phone calls to regularly provide updates and/or address issues, contributing to overall
customer satisfaction
Interfacing with the Manufacturing Manager daily in-person, over email, or on the phone to ensure project timelines are being met.
Collaborating with Manufacturing Manager regarding most efficient workflow of a given project
Directly and indirectly accountable for the speed and efficiency of projects moving through our system
Coordinating project completion dates with the Manufacturing Manager and communicating timelines to clients
Occasionally interfacing with clients on-site
Collaborating and communicating with ACL manufacturing subcontractors on scopes of work that are beyond the capabilities of the ACL manufacturing team
Performs other related duties as assigned by management

ATTENDANCE:
The Project Manager role is a full-time on-site position in our facility’s office in Boyle Heights.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Business, or a related field. Experience with design drawings is helpful, but this role is not a design position — it is a project management role for candidates interested in building a career in operations and project delivery.

Ability to understand design and construction drawings
Quickbooks Online and Airtable experience a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, keyboard, to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, see, talk and hear.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

This is primarily an office classification. Temperature conditions are controlled with limited direct exposure to hazardous physical substances. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
COMPENSATION:
$25-$28 per hour depending on experience
This role has the potential to grow into a more senior Project Manager or Operations leadership position as ACL expands.
