Description
Role descriptionWe are looking for a structured and solution-oriented Project Excellence Manager to support the continuous improvement of our project management practices and ensure the optimal use of project management tools-particularly Jira-across the organization. In this role, you will act as the central point of contact for Jira-related matters, supporting project teams, driving tool adoption, and fostering alignment to project management best practices. You'll work cross-functionally to ensure our digital toolset and methodologies empower teams to work efficiently and collaboratively.
Your Mission
Project Management Excellence
- Support project teams by consulting on efficient project management practices.
- Implement and improve frameworks, templates, and workflows that enhance project execution.
- Encourage adherence to defined project management standards and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Take ownership of Jira and ensure its consistent and effective use across the organization.
- Provide guidance on the application of Jira and related Atlassian tools in different business contexts.
- Conduct training sessions, workshops, and develop self-service documentation to foster user enablement.
- Monitor system updates and enhancements, evaluate relevance, and roll out improvements to optimize tool performance.
- Develop and implement project controlling mechanisms to track progress and performance.
- Utilize Jira and other tools to monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Analyze project data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for optimization.
- Provide regular reports and insights to stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
- Build and lead a Jira Key User Community to encourage knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Develop and maintain company-wide guidelines for tool usage and project workflows.
- Act as a bridge between business needs and technical tool capabilities.
- Regularly review tool usage and gather feedback from users.
- Analyze performance metrics and translate insights into actionable improvements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business informatics, business administration, computer science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project management and tool administration.
- Deep expertise in Jira (Atlassian), including configuration, workflows, and user training.
- Experience in planning and conducting tool trainings and workshops.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work across functions.
- Native-level fluency in German and business-level proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing tool-based collaboration strategies and driving adoption.
- Expertise in Jira as both an administrator and trainer.
- Familiarity with additional Atlassian tools (e.g., Confluence) and project automation features.
- Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to workflow optimization.
- Experience building internal user communities or centers of excellence.
