Job Description
- Our client is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to join their team. This role involves assisting in chartering operations, managing project cargo movements, coordinating logistics, and ensuring smooth execution of shipping contracts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the maritime industry, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Chartering & Operations:
- Assist in fixing and negotiating charter parties for vessels .
- Conduct freight rate analysis and market research to identify opportunities.
- Liaise with ship owners, brokers, and clients to ensure smooth chartering operations.
- Monitor vessel performance, bunker consumption, and ensure compliance with charter party terms.
- Assist in contract management, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Project Management & Logistics:
- Oversee the planning and execution of shipping projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Manage documentation, including bills of lading, cargo manifests, and customs paperwork.
- Track shipments and provide clients with regular updates on cargo movements.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution and problem resolution.
Risk Management & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with international maritime laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Assist in handling disputes and claims related to cargo or chartering contracts.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Maintain strong relationships with ship owners, brokers, customers, and other industry stakeholders.
- Assist in developing new business opportunities by identifying potential chartering prospects.
- Support commercial teams in preparing proposals and presentations for clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping & Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in chartering, shipping operations, or project management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and maritime software
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.

The remuneration is competitive along with other benefits.
