Position Summary:

The Project Manager, level 6, is deployed to the Supplier Development Line of Effort as a subject matter expert to lead, plan and execute defense industry-related projects that meet or exceed delivery expectations to our customer.  This role requires extensive experience with defense contracting to be successful in managing a broad scope of complex projects, ensuring on-time and technically capable solutions within budget.  In addition to the following details, BlueForge Project Managers are expected to uphold and exemplify our values of Belonging, Selfless Service, Integrity, Leadership, Respect, and Excellence. Education, Certifications, and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a closely related field.  
• 15 to 20 years’ direct experience managing projects.
• Experience in federal government and/or defense industry contracting, including knowledge of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation), DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement), and other government procurement regulations.
• Experience developing a Statement of Work, managing subcontracts, and working with external partners.
• Experience developing Requests for Information, Requests for Proposal, and Requests for Quote.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance if required.
• Willingness to travel as needed for project needs and client meetings.
• PMP or other Certification for Project Management preferred.
• Experience with the Department of Defense  5000.01 Defense Acquisition System Series is preferred.
• Earned Value Management understanding also a plus.

• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to define project scope, establish project budget, develop detailed project plans, and manage project deliverables.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams. 
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members at all levels.
• Expertise in project management software, preferably Smartsheet and Asana.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to maneuver both government and commercial requirements to ensure fully capable solutions and stable partnerships between various stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail, including tasking others on the project team with deliverables.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle complex situations in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to collaboratively work between Supplier Development, Advanced Manufacturing and Work Force development teams to ensure wholistic solutions across divisions.
• Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and a passion for learning and development.
