Project Manager

Location: Basalt, CO (Aspen Area)
Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative and technical expertise for residential construction projects.
• Ownership of all aspects of projects including estimating, jobsite safety, budget, quality control, schedules and project profitability. May lead or provide support in all of these roles depending on project size and scope.
• Oversee project operations and adherence to local building codes.
• Mentor and coach company employees.
• Build and maintain relationships with owners, architects, designers, suppliers, public and subcontractors.
• Develop and monitor project reporting, project budgets and project schedules.
• Work with local building officials and other regulatory agencies.
• Negotiate subcontracts and purchase project materials.
• Work with office admin to record invoices and finalize all progress billings.
• Work with subcontractors to understand their contract or project scope and enforce contractual obligations.
• Manage change order process including effective communication with owner, architect and impacted parties.
• Communicate with appropriate parties on issues arising during construction.
Qualifications:
• 5 years of residential or commercial construction experience with 2+ years of management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the construction industry including best practices, construction materials, construction building codes and safety regulations.
• Strong communication, organization, time management and construction planning skills are a must.
• Proven track record of bringing projects in on-time and on-budget.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.) and willingness to adopt new project management software & technology.
• Degree in Construction Management desired but will consider equivalent experience.

The salary and compensation for this position depend on the experience of the candidate. Janckila Construction Inc. offers a competitive compensation package with annual profit sharing. This is a salaried position with the expectation of full-time hours (40+ hours a week).

Location: Basalt, CO (Aspen Area)
Responsibilities:
• Plan and implement on-site construction management, construction methods, schedules, site logistics and technical aspects of construction.
• Work and communicate with project managers and assistant project managers to ensure project timeliness and productivity.
• Develop, monitor and execute the construction plans and schedules.
• Oversee on-site project operations and adherence to local building codes.
• Supervise, mentor and coach company employees.
• Organize and coordinate all sub-contractor activities.
• Build and maintain relationships with project managers, architects, the public and subcontractors.
• Oversee all aspects of on-site jobsite safety.
• Work with local building officials and other regulatory agencies.
• Assist in coding project invoices and ensuring invoice accuracy.
• Review shop drawings and coordinate with engineers to ensure construction meets all required specifications and schedules.
• Manage project completion including punch listing, final inspection, warranty work and all deficiencies.
Qualifications:
• 2-5 years of residential or commercial construction experience with 2+ years of field supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the construction industry including best practices, construction materials, construction building codes and safety regulations.
• Strong communication, organization, time management and construction planning skills are a must.
• Strong candidates must be able to problem solve and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.) and willingness to adopt new project management software and technology.
• Degree in Construction Management desired but will consider equivalent experience.
