Project Controls Analyst III – EVMS Internal Audit

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide Tools and Processes support to Project Controls Analyst in the field.  
  • Perform Internal Audits to ensure that programs are compliant with the DCMA Earned Value Metrics (DECM) and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) where required contractually and provide feedback and support as needed. 
  • Interface with Programs Teams to ensure data deliverables are configured properly for loading into auditing tools.
  • Monitor Program EVMS Deliverables to ensure they compliant with our EVMS System Description.
  • Foster compliance with EVMS policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Support the development, implementation, training, and maintenance of EVMS processes, procedures and tools.
  • Assist with maintaining company policies and procedures and regulatory changes occur.
  • Maintain and Operate a Corrective Action tracking system to record non-compliances and ensure appropriate closure. 
  • Develop and maintain trending analysis on areas of non-compliance.
  • Assist with Government Audits of programs by providing accurate and complete data for data calls and providing clear and concise responses to Auditor inquiries. 
  • Assist with setting up new programs to ensure they are compliant with current policies and procedures.
  • Develop presentations for internal and external reviews.
  • Support Joint Surveillance Reviews and Integrated Baseline Reviews.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 4 or more years of related experience.
  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • Experience with MS Office tools like Excel and MS Project.
  • Knowledge of EIA-748 Earned Value Management Systems 32 Guidelines
  • Experience with DCMA DECM metrics preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Self-motivating and able to plan own work.
  • Attention to detail and good analytical skills and accuracy.
  • Ability to develop and/or improve processes.
  • Knowledge of scheduling preferred.
  • Ability to see the big picture, not just your own area.
  • Proficient acumen for tools and to quickly learn new tools and problem solve issues independently. 
  • Solid business acumen and experience with defense contracting.

Hybrid Work Environment: This position may be performed working from both the office and another location, while typically requiring working in the office less than 3 days per work week. Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.

  • Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • HIRING SALARY RANGE: $75,000 - $102,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
