JOB SUMMARY
NGEN is seeking an experienced Product Manager - Power Systems to shape product strategy and drive market growth for mission critical electrical infrastructure and data center solutions. This role will be responsible for defining product requirements, leading UL/ETL certification roadmaps, and coordinating cross-functional product releases for high-voltage and medium-voltage equipment including power circuit breakers, HV/MV transformers, pad-mount liquid-filled transformers, switchgear, and ATS/UPS interfaces.
As a key member of the engineering team, the Product Manager will work in close partnership with our supply chain team to ensure on-time, predictable deliveries, while collaborating with the sales and client services team to develop customer-focused solutions and deepen engagement throughout the project lifecycle. This is a high-impact role where technical expertise meets strategic market leadership, helping NGEN deliver reliable, innovative solutions to the most demanding environments.
Requirements
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Define detailed product requirements and specifications for US market applications
- Manage the UL/ETL certification roadmap from planning through to successful product approval
- Maintain predictable delivery schedules through proactive planning and milestone management
- Drive total cost of ownership (TCO) advantages through standardised, modular product designs
- Oversee design change management and ensure smooth integration of product updates into production
- Monitor competitive offerings and emerging technologies to inform product strategy
- Provide technical input to sales and client services teams for customer proposals and solution presentations
- Track key performance indicators (lead time, cost, quality) and initiate continuous improvement initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 7+ years of experience in product management, engineering, or technical program management within the electrical infrastructure, data center, or power systems industry
- Demonstrated track record of managing UL/ETL certification processes and compliance with IEEE/ANSI standards
- Proven experience working with high-voltage and medium-voltage equipment
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain dynamics for mission critical equipment
- Experience collaborating with global manufacturing partners and cross-functional internal teams
- Familiarity with TCO (total cost of ownership) optimization through standardization and modularization
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, with a history of delivering complex products on schedule and within budget
