Description
1. Provide first-level hardware and software support for client systems, including, but not limited to:
- Set up and installation of new systems.
- Diagnose and repair hardware/software issues.
- Hardware/software configuration recommendations.
- Maintaining classroom equipment.
2. Perform installation and maintenance for various equipment, such as
- Audio/visual systems.
- Staff Workstations.
- Printers, copiers, and other peripheral devices.
- Other supported university IT equipment.
3. Provide professional user support
- Assist users with day-to-day computer-related problems.
- Maintain excellent customer service relationships.
- Properly document all work in an organized manner.
FSA: Non-Exempt
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a technical support or customer service role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and hardware/software troubleshooting.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Familiarity with audio/visual systems and networking principles.
- Additional IT education or IT industry certifications.
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Dedication to maintaining high standards of customer service.
