- Nutrition Claims and Finance Consultant
Description
Join our team as a nutrition senior consultant where you will support child nutrition sponsors across Colorado with meal counting and claiming and resource management. Responsibilities include managing a caseload of sponsors, conducting on-site reviews and helping ensure program effectiveness and innovation.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of child nutrition programs, strong project management skills, experience with financial management and data analysis and is passionate about enhancing the effectiveness of child nutrition programs across the state.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee and provide subject matter expertise for meal counting and claiming and resource management requirements. Responsibilities include providing internal and external guidance and implementing program workplans.
Provide technical assistance to sponsors about their claims for reimbursement.
Provides subject matter expertise and oversight for the resource management review process, including allowable costs, non-program revenue, paid lunch equity and maintenance of a non-profit food service account. Oversees and supports sponsors with unpaid meal charges.
Collaborate with the review manager to ensure resource management requirements are assessed accurately during administrative reviews.
Assist with processing annual participation agreements for sponsors across the state.
Conduct accurate administrative reviews of child nutrition programs across the state to ensure compliance with federal and state rules and regulations.
In collaboration with unit teams, implement internal and external trainings related to program areas overseen.
Effectively train internal and external customers on various topics related to child nutrition programs.
Manages an assigned caseload of sponsors by answering questions, providing technical assistance and training, conducting compliance reviews and engaging in outreach.
Provide subject matter expertise and support for Provisional Programs. Collaborate with the lead senior consultant to implement program area workplans.
