Description
Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Functional Architect. The Microsoft Dynamics 365 Functional Architect will lead the design, implementation and optimization of our Dynamics 365 platform. The individual in this role requires deep expertise in Dynamics 365 CE (Customer Engagement) and ERP Finance Operations and will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams. Seeking candidates with minimum five years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CE and/or ERP). Experience with full lifecycle D365 implementations. Minimum of three years' hands-on experience administering and supporting a Dynamics 365 environment. Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Solution Architect or Functional Consultant Associate/Expert. Experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI). Experience with Azure integrations and third-party solutions. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred.Requirements for the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Functional Architect position include:
- Strategic thinker with a mix of business acumen, solution architecture skills and hands-on configuration knowledge.
- Strong understanding of business processes in sales and finance, supply chain and customer service.
- Proficient in requirements gathering, gap analysis, and solution design.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Strong organization skills with the ability to effectively prioritize (with changing priorities), multi-task, address issues quickly and professionally, and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated with strong work ethic.
- Must be able to handle high volume of work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must be able to develop and maintain positive working relationships.
- Must be able to clearly and concisely communicate technical information to non-technical users.
- Must be able to work effectively, both independently and in team settings.
- Must be willing to travel to other locations and conduct on premise training sessions.

Physical requirements must be met for the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Functional Architect job, including regularly being required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is periodically moving/pushing/transporting 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. Starting salary in excess of $120,000 depending on candidate background and qualifications.
