Position Summary
Aetna is seeking a talented and motivated Manager for the Reporting, Analytics, and Tools Team. This individual contributor role will focus on building and enhancing various reporting systems utilized by the Small Group Underwriting organization. The successful candidate will analyze data to provide insights and construct and maintain tools that streamline and automate processes for our Underwriters, enabling them to work at the top of their license.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive reporting solutions that meet the needs of the Small Group Underwriting team.
- Analyze data to extract meaningful insights and provide recommendations that drive strategic decision-making and improve operational efficiency.
- Construct and maintain tools that automate and streamline underwriting processes, enhancing productivity and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure that reporting and tools align with business objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of reporting and tools, making continuous improvements based on user feedback and evolving needs.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in reporting, analytics, and automation to ensure Aetna remains competitive.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience
- 3+ years of experience in reporting, analytics, or a related field, preferably within the insurance or healthcare industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong VBA knowledge
- Proficiency in reporting tools and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with programming languages such as Python is a plus.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Data Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$60,300.00 - $145,860.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
