Job DescriptionThis Junior-level Cyber Capability Developer (Reverse Engineer) position is ideal for individuals with a strong interest in cybersecurity and reverse engineering who are eager to learn and develop the skills within a dynamic team environment. It is an entry-level technical position for new or recent college graduates specializing in the analysis and understanding of software, firmware, and systems through reverse engineering techniques. With exposure to Agile environments, they bring a foundational understanding of collaboration and adaptability to contribute effectively to projects.
The work includes:
Reverse Engineering Support: Assist in the analysis of software binaries, firmware, and systems to understand functionality, uncover vulnerabilities, and extract relevant information through reverse engineering techniques.
Agile Collaboration: Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with team members to understand project requirements, prioritize tasks, and contribute to project planning and execution within Agile methodologies.
Documentation and Reporting: Document reverse engineering findings, analysis methodologies, and contribute to project documentation under the guidance of senior team members. Prepare updates and
reports to communicate progress effectively. Continued Learning: Engage in self-study, training, and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in reverse engineering, cybersecurity, and Agile methodologies.
Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work closely with team members, including senior reverse engineers, security analysts, developers, and stakeholders, to address technical challenges, propose solutions, and contribute to implementation efforts.
Tool Familiarity: Gain familiarity with common reverse engineering tools, frameworks, and techniques to support analysis tasks and improve productivity.
Scripting and Automation: Develop basic scripts or automation tools to assist in repetitive reverse engineering tasks and streamline analysis workflows.
Agile Process Understanding: Deepen understanding of Agile principles and practices through active participation in Agile ceremonies and collaboration within Agile teams.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in reverse engineering, cybersecurity, or software development roles, with exposure to reverse engineering activities.
Minimum of one (1) year experience working in Agile environments through coursework, internships, or collaborative projects is desirable.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field is preferred.
Relevant certifications such as Certified Reverse Engineering Analyst (CREA), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or similar certifications demonstrating proficiency in reverse engineering and cybersecurity are beneficial but not required.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $77809 - $132275
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
