Physical Requirements | The physical requirements of this position include: Occasional lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to 25lbs; occasionally standing or walking with objects 10-25lbs; regularly sitting or standing at a computer workstation for extended periods of time with regular repetitive motions (such as typing); utilizing mouse, keyboard, and phone for portions of the day. Ability to travel to various locations on and off-campus for meetings, projects, incidents, etc. |

Job Summary | The University of Kentucky (UK) seeks a Director of Project Management to serve as the leader of the Project Management team in the Networking and Infrastructure (NI) division within Information Technology Services (ITS). The Director of Project Management is responsible for establishing and maintaining a sound strategy for the successful management of network infrastructure projects throughout their entire project life cycle. The director ensures the proper direction, coordination, implementation, control, and completion of projects while remaining aligned with the strategy, commitments, and goals of the university. The incumbent will report directly to the ACIO for NI and be a member of the NI leadership team. In order to provide the level of leadership and have the scope of impact that the University seeks through the work of the Director Project Management, candidates will bring a wide range of capabilities, competencies, and experiences. Candidates must be an excellent communicator and relationship builder with a reputation for integrity and openness and the expertise and demeanor to inspire confidence at all levels of the organization. Candidates must also bring experience in successfully working collaboratively across an organization with interdisciplinary teams to develop and obtain broad support for a shared vision and long-range plans. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | Experience with network protocols and network operating systems, switching and routing, enterprise wireless, AAA, load balancers. |

Preferred Education/Experience | Experience with supporting large enterprise networks and managing/supervising network engineers. PMP preferred |
