Job DescriptionA Community Manager is like the hub of a wheel-the central, stabilizing core from which the spokes of a production radiate. Community managers facilitate communication across all functions and the organization and acts as a right hand to the FAST Labs Facilities Coordinator and Site Space Planners. The role oversees space utilization and functionality, ensures all IT related items are operational, furniture set ups are working properly, addresses any issues/ malfunctions, manages the needs of the community, and ensures full operation of the space. Although the details of the role vary depending on the group residing in the space, community managers in all disciplines are broadly responsible for ensuring the integrity of the space that it is fully operational on a daily basis.
In addition to managing one of our newest environments, the Community Manager will also assist and support the FAST Labs Facilities Coordinator with coordinating space utilization and active facilities projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Acting as the face of the space to the employees, and the primary point of contact for the neighborhood employees and visitors
- Service needs in support of employees and visitors (e.g. conference room moderation, catering and program support, etc.)
- Reporting and managing utilization and occupancy status, actively managing the space, coordinating with the Space Planner of any occupancy changes as they occur, and quarterly updating occupancy and utilization
- Documenting and communicating common etiquette standards and ensuring compliance to cultural principles
- Act as a change champion for those who are new to the area, promoting the space and educating individuals on the goals, environment, and operation of the space.
- Propose adjustments as needed to ensure the success of the teams and the progressive nature of the space. Work with various functions and vendors to ensure the ongoing performance and well-being of the equipment, furniture, and space.
- Using technology and face-to-face engagements to communicate relevant business news to employees, hosting monthly town halls and opportunities for the employees to voice their concerns and thoughts
- Act as the primary support contact for infrastructure, IT and Facilities related items coordinating maintenance and improvements, including the cleanliness and cleaning procedures.
- Continue to pilot and develop office offerings or test services with low budgets
- Operate as the area receiving manager to direct employees, visitors, vendors, and clients to the right spot
- Provide backup support for Administrative Assistants serving various product lines at the BAE Systems site
- Other duties as assigned
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience or equivalent experience
- Expertise in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook)
- Ability to support program management, integration, and control strategies
- Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and functional departments
- Ability to support decision-making and conflict resolution
- Ability to work and communicate with a diverse group
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $66084 - $112343
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
