Equity Research Specialist - Technology (Software Focus)

About the Role:

My client is seeking a talented and independent Equity Research Specialist to cover the Technology sector, with a particular focus on software companies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the software industry and be capable of producing high-quality research and maintaining coverage independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth research and financial analysis on software companies, including enterprise software, SaaS, cloud services, and cybersecurity.
• Independently initiate and maintain coverage, producing comprehensive reports, earnings analysis, and thematic pieces.
• Develop and maintain financial models and perform valuation assessments.
• Track industry trends, competitive landscape, and technological developments.
• Communicate investment ideas effectively with internal teams and external clients.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in equity research or a related field.
• Strong expertise in the software industry, including business models and key performance metrics.
• Demonstrated ability to write clear, insightful, and well-structured research reports independently.
• Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• CFA designation or progress toward it is a plus.
