Job Description
ITT's Industrial Process (IP) value center is looking for an Epicor Functional Specialist to join their team. The Epicor Functional Specialist is a critical member of an organization's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) team, responsible for optimizing, implementing, and supporting Epicor ERP solutions to drive business efficiency and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing, customizing, and supporting Epicor ERP applications. This role involves collaborating with business users, analysts, and other developers to design solutions, optimize workflows, and ensure system stability. The candidate should be comfortable working independently on projects while also contributing to larger cross-functional initiatives. The Epicor Functional Specialist must possess a deep understanding of both business processes and the technical capabilities of Epicor, ensuring the system is leveraged to its full potential.
Responsibilities
Job Duties:
- Maintain and support all functions related to core ERP (Epicor), Bolt-On and integrated applications.
- Responsible to act as a true "Business Relation Manager" to understand business requirements and the issues in Manufacturing, Finance, Order Management, Warehouse Management space etc.
- Design, build, and maintain customizations within Epicor ERP using C#, BPMs (Business Process Management), BAQs, Dashboards, and SSRS reports.
- Develop and maintain integration between Epicor and third-party systems (via REST APIs, Service Connect, or custom middleware).
- Design, customize, and deploy EPICOR ERP solutions based on business needs.
- Modify existing code and configurations to improve performance, usability, and business fit.
- Identify opportunities for operational process improvements using Epicor core functionalities.
- Document operational processes, procedures, and system changes for knowledge transfer and compliance.
- Collaborate with teams including Sales, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and IT to resolve issues and enhance customer experience.
- Administer and support the Epicor ERP system, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Resolve issues with Epicor-ERP applications and other connected Bolt-Ons systems and monitor ServiceNow queue.
- Act as a consultant with the business to understand business processes and how to apply technology to digitize and streamline processes.
- Work collaboratively with end users, other IT teams, and Vendors, to improve the architecture, operational standards, and practices.
- Responsible for driving Epicor upgrades, enablement of new processes, functions as per business requirements.
- Provides guidance and consultation on applications and related services to other departments. This will include the use of software, licensing, cost, and customization.
- Effectively utilize company standard incident remediation system to assign, prioritize, track, incidents, and end user requests.
- Work independently to resolve issues, while understanding when to involve other IT support functions such as data center and networking.
- Responsible for driving & managing annual SOX audits, Disaster Recover exercise. Work with respective teams to make sure necessary documents, results updated & documented as per process.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in IT and related field
- At least 5+ years of hands-on experience with Epicor ERP systems
- Must have Kinetic and Epicor 10 experience
- Any previous leadership experience is plus.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or similar is preferred.
- Experienced system analyst supporting Epicor-ERP applications and the business process is a must.
- Experience with REST APIs, integrations, and data migration.
- Knowledge of Epicor Service Connect, or similar integration tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with source control (e.g., Git) and standard SDLC practices.
- Strong understanding of core ERP business processes.
- Ability to work with businesses to understand pain points and propose solutions as needed.
- Create and optimize technology and processes in partnership with other technology teams, compliance, and information security to ensure systems are designed and operated with security in mind.
- Excellent customer service, task management, and communication skills are required.
- Highly tuned technical problem solving and analytical skills are a must.
- Must have experience with license management for various software.
- Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity to work with a global user base.
- Understand and apply the fundamentals of business to ensure the technical roadmap aligns with business opportunities.
- Strong organizational skills and Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Proficiency in the English language is a necessity.
- Experience working in a SOX-compliant environment a plus.
- Strong affection for developing, implementing repeatable processes; continually assessing and improving.
- Strong ability to trust but verify various aspects of IT service delivery and planned efforts.
- Travel is project based, but generally no more than 10% to 15%
