Job Description
The University of Missouri-Kansas City, School of Dentistry seeks 2 non-tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant or Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Endodontics.
The faculty members will provide classroom, laboratory, clinical instruction and evaluation for pre-doctoral students. Candidates will create and deliver lecture presentations for didactic and laboratory classes. They will also teach endodontics to pre-doctoral students in the main clinic daily.
This is a ranked 12-month, benefit-eligible non-tenure track faculty position.Work week may be 4 days didactic and clinical instruction (32 hours/.80 FTE) or 5 days (40 hours/1.0 FTE) by negotiation.
Qualified candidates hired for 5 days per week (1.0 FTE) may be eligible to participate in faculty practice one day per week.
There is opportunity for ranked promotion.
Start date is upon hire, or by negotiation.

Qualifications
All candidates should have a DMD/DDS degree or equivalent as well as advanced training in Endodontics. Eligibility for Missouri Dental Faculty permit is required.
Candidates for Associate Clinical Professor must meet the above minimum qualifications and additionally:
Hold a terminal degree and maintain licensure, with continuing education and at least one additional credential (e.g., specialty certification, fellowship, master’s degree in a supportive field such as education, sciences, or management, or other extensive professional development).
Demonstrate excellence in teaching, including significant course or clinical instruction, mentoring of students, and application of evidence-based practices.
Contribute actively to the school, community, or profession through practice, outreach, professional associations, consulting, or committee service.
Show achievements beyond the minimums, such as educational innovations, recognized service, or mentorship of students and trainees.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications, experience and workload/FTE.
