What You’ll Do
- Provide urgent surgical care for complex conditions like appendicitis, cholecystitis, bowel obstruction, ischemic bowel, and more.
- Collaborate with hospitalists, emergency physicians, anesthesiologists, and nursing teams to ensure seamless, integrated care.
- Utilize both open and minimally invasive techniques for acute surgical presentations.
- Contribute to resident and student education, multidisciplinary quality initiatives, and innovation in emergency surgery.
What You Bring
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Surgery
- Fellowship training (Surgical Critical Care, Acute Care Surgery, or Trauma) ideal, but not required
- Minimum 3 years of independent Emergency General Surgery experience required
- NYS Medical License (or eligibility)
- Expertise in acute surgical care with strong clinical judgment under pressure
- Passion for teamwork, patient-centered care, and teaching
