JOB/POSITION TITLE: Donor Care & Database Manager
Department: Development

JOB/POSITION SUMMARY: This position is the point-person for Salesforce management and donor care & stewardship tracking. Primary functions include timely gift entry and acknowledgement, regular interface with the Development Team to facilitate cultivation efforts and events, tracking, and office-wide support, coding and maintenance for database, Salesforce, etc. IT and Shared Financial Services liaison servicing to bridge the information gap between National office and chapter departments.
JOB/POSITION RESPONSIBILITES:
Donor Care:
Process donations through Salesforce batch system, adjust donations incorrectly coded
Manages donor communications, inquires, pledge payment reminders, matching gifts, etc.
Support development efforts through prospect research, mailing merges, and other projects that are best served by Salesforce database
SFS liaison and works with SFS on regular basis
Collaborate with Development and Operations department for fiscal year budgeting
Assist with monthly financial reconciliation and reporting requirements
Attend and support functions/meeting on evenings as occasionally required
Facilitate monthly reconciliation of revenue with SFS as well as annual reconciliation of all contributions
Process and respond to development in-kind donation inquiries including vehicle donation program and general community partnerships
Database Management:
Be the in-house expert for Salesforce, providing support and training to staff as required
Maintain data entry standards and manage data integrity through monthly data audits
Perform database clean-up on an ongoing basis
National Data Steward Liaison
o Direct Communication for Data Governance
o Data Cleanup for SF Importing
o Work with Make-A-Wish America and other Make-A-Wish chapters to leverage existing tools and SF learning opportunities
IT & Operations:
National Galaxy Ambassador:
o Maintain compliance with all standards set forth by Make-A-Wish America and the guidelines established by the local chapter including, but not limited to, items so stated within the Financial and Internal Control Policy Manual
o Authorize and approve permission requests for staff and interns in compliance with all standards set forth by Make-A-Wish America and the guidelines established by the local chapter including, but not limited to, items so stated within the Financial and Internal Control Policy Manual
IT liaison: Collaborating with the IT department and serving as a representative to the chapter
o Responsible for the strategic implementation of new technology solutions that improve business efficiency while meeting chapter goals
o Order computers for staff and interns
o Reviews and assigns National IT Training to staff, verify policies and procedures are being followed
o Troubleshoot IT and computer errors
o Creating and managing tickets for common errors throughout the chapter
Complete other assignments as requested
- Stewardship – Email stewardship to donors $250+
Requirements
JOB/POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and work experience
Experience with Salesforce or other database software strong preferred
Prior experience in IT systems and support required.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
Demonstrates ability to be detail –orientated and has strong organizational skills
Ability to motivate and support a diverse constituency in a team-oriented atmosphere
Demonstrates excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to successfully work in a collaborative, team-oriented organization
