Description
Wahana Visi Indonesia is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to work and collaborate to empower the most vulnerable children, family and community through community development, advocacy, and emergency response for sustainable transformation regardless of religion, race, ethnic or gender.Since 1998, Wahana Visi Indonesia has carried out various community development programs focusing on children. Hundred thousands of children in Indonesia have been benefited from WVI's accompaniment program. Wahana Visi Indonesia is a trusted partner of World Vision International.
Key Responsibilities:
This position has responsibility to plan, implement, monitor and evaluate, as well as develop the capacity of local partners, develop partnerships and facilitate the implementation of PASTI Project Activities.
Strategy Development & Planning
- Contribute to facilitate project research and baseline
- Conduct monitoring, reflection and learning with the community and the program team to improve and adapt future programming.
- Develop sustainability strategy through institutionalizing the community organization
Resource Acquisition & Management
- Prepare project budgets in consultation with Senior Program Manager and Finance team to ensure funds are spent in alignment with budgets in a timely manner.
- Ensure cost-effective and efficient use of resources, in accordance with Wahana Visi Indonesia financial policies and donor's requirements.
Capacity Building
- Identify and assess capacity of community groups, project staff and local implementing partners in target areas on relevant technical capacities.
- Provide capacity building to the related partners and project staff in order to achieve the set project goals.
- Provide technical support, tools, appropriate methods and approach to field staff, local implementing partners and related stakeholders to ensure project quality.
- Internalize and socialize WVI core documents, including safeguarding and child protection, PSEA, and GEDSI.
- Create a Community Learning environment (including children and the marginalized) and encourage communities to share and learn from their own experiences as part of confidence and capacity building.
Accountability & Quality Assurance:
- To ensure that project implementation is in alignment with project design, organization and donor standards.
- Monitor project implementation at the community level to ensure effective implementation.
- Prepare monthly report of project implementation in order to measure project's achievement, obtain lessons learned and improve future programming.
- Facilitate Advocacy Community Engagement (with its frame of project accountability) with local implementing partners according to project design and shared responsibilities.
- Ensure the quality of data collection, data analysis and review on assessment, baseline and evaluation of project.
Networking & Coordination:
- Communicate effectively on Wahana Visi Indonesia identity, mission, vision, values and our approaches to work in ways that are contextually appropriate and clear.
- Closely coordinate with local implementing partners to achieve project objectives and support sustainability.
- Develop and maintain robust networks and dynamic relationships with all relevant stakeholders to support project implementation at project level.
- Develop robust partnerships with local government, educational institutions, and other local organisations (NGOs/CSOs/FBOs) for shared learning, joint implementation and leveraging of similar peace building projects.
- Contribute to organizational lesson learned process and promising practices documentation for peace building program.
Management & Leadership
- Facilitate effective teamwork, coordination and work planning among field and support staff, including local implementing partners to ensure effective project implementation with quality.
- Develop and manage annual performance agreement
- Submits periodical/ monthly accomplishment report
- Build and maintain positive spirit of working in team with other staff in respective unit and department
- Provide Christian value and support to enrich the organization's life, faith, Christian commitments and ministry to the disadvantaged children and communities we seek to serve.
- Be a role model and inspiration in managing work, communication and relationship with internal staff and external parties.
- Manage all risks related to PASTI Project according to organization policies, guidelines, and standard. This includes risks in fraud, safeguarding, and other related risks.
Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Nutrition, or a related field.
- Min. 1-2 years' experience in health-related projects, preferably childhood nutrition or mother-children health.
- Strong networking skills with government counterparts at the sub-national level, with familiarity in government working groups on childhood nutrition (e.g., TPPS).
- Solid understanding of humanitarian and/or development projects.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good English proficiency with a minimum TOEFL score of 450
- Willingness to travel frequently to villages as required
- Frequent travel to villages and remote sites, potentially involving access via unpaved or rough roads.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong project management abilities.
- Sound conceptual understanding of basic DME (Design, Monitoring, and Evaluation) functions.
