Our client is a recognised international real estate fund with operating companies in various countries, including the US, Mexico and Australia. Our client seeks a Development Director for its operating entity in Mexico - a fully integrated development company - to help expand its residential portfolio in Mexico. This is your opportunity to excel in your strategic vision, project management and leadership skills by supervising and directing all aspects of the development of state-of-the-art projects in unique locations. What the job involves

• Lead the development team in the execution of residential projects from inception to completion
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget and report on a monthly and quarterly basis
• Supervise the different stages of the design process, ensuring adherence to design standards, codes, and regulations
• Oversee construction management activities, ensuring quality control, compliance with safety regulations, and timely completion of milestones
• Manage all aspects of project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues while maintaining adherence to established processes and controls
• Enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness through process improvement and implementation of innovative new products, tools and materials
• Create, implement, and enforce controls to achieve and monitor project progress, milestones and KPIs
• Identify and analyse new development opportunities in collaboration with the Business Development team
• Provide leadership and guidance to the development team, including training, mentoring, and performance management
• Conduct weekly or monthly visits to projects under construction to ensure the program is developing according to the standards and quality expected

Who we are looking for

• Solid experience in project management, budgeting, financial planning and cost management for real estate projects
• Strong understanding of construction processes, project management methodologies and legal regulations and standards for real estate development
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, architecture, or related field
• MBA or Master's degree in development is preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
• Availability to travel
