Description
ROLE SUMMARY:Reporting to the Head of Data Trust, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Manager to join our dynamic team and support the transformation and delivery of industry-leading governance & rights management products within the Data Trust stream.
As the Data Trust Business Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving change initiatives, working across the Data Trust team, D&A Finance, HR and DSM LT, ensuring successful implementation of digital data solutions, and maximizing business value within the ever-evolving financial services industry whilst meeting our Data Governance and Rights Management objectives.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
The successful candidate will be expected to be responsible and accountable for:
Data Trust Delivery:
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders and Data Trust workstream leads to ensure ongoing delivery of all Data Trust objectives.
• Drive the end-to-end delivery of data governance initiatives, ensuring on-time, within budget, and high-quality project execution.
• Oversee the development and implementation of agile methodologies, promoting efficient and effective project management practices.
• Manage the Data Trust annual budget - including monitoring, forward planning and proactively working with all of the workstream leads and Finance teams to ensure variance from budget is managed quickly.
• Manage the Data Trust headcount - supporting hiring planning and team management to ensure we meet all FTE targets.
• Support head of Data Trust with all Governance meetings and communication decks.
Business Management Leadership:
• Develop and execute Business Management strategies and plans for Data Trust, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
• Lead and inspire cross-functional teams to embrace Business Management change, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies related to change delivery, employing robust mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Engagement:
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring their involvement and commitment throughout Data Trust processes.
• Ability to engage key clients and develop strong networks to deliver commercial product offerings.
• Effectively communicate project updates, milestones, and risks to stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making and managing expectations.
Leadership and Team Development:
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in change management and digital product delivery, applying relevant insights to enhance team capabilities and performance.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
• Proven track record of successfully leading & delivering Business Management teams within financial services or similar industries, delivering commercially focused solutions.
• Experience managing programme budget within targets (approx. 8-10m)
• Knowledge of data governance and rights management would be beneficial, a good understanding of these functions is essential
• Detailed knowledge of industry trends for Data Vendors, rights management practices, governance implementation & data culture transformation.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels of the organization.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in the financial services industry, particularly in capital markets or stock exchange operations, is highly desirable.
• Understanding of market trends regarding AI
