A great opportunity to work as a Project Manager to lead a Data Platform initiative for a top-tier marketing company. Fluency in both Japanese and English is essential for this role.

The company is embarking on a strategic data platform project aimed at consolidating, governing, and efficiently distributing data across the organization. The goal is to streamline access to high-quality, standardized data for analysts and developers-empowering data-driven decision-making and accelerating innovation across all business units.

Aiming Starting Date: July (ASAP)

Location: Prefer to hire someone in Tokyo - Shinagawa / Open to hire in Fukuoka as well

WFH: First month (3 days at office) after one month - 1-2 times at the office a month

Language: Native-level Japanese or English with strong business-level proficiency in the other. Reporting is ~50% Japanese.

Team structure:

Currently 6 members

- Target Structure: Aiming to be 10-11 members (including 1Project Manager) in a few month.

-Working Style: Agile methodology, scrum-based development

-Team Composition: International, bilingual (70% English, 30% Japanese in technical team)

Technical Skills:

• Strong project management and team leadership in an Agile environment

• Experience managing internal enterprise platforms (data governance, ETL/ELT, data catalogues)

• Familiarity with GCP ecosystem (BigQuery, DBT, Google Storage), Terraform is a plus

• Not required to be hands-on, but must deeply understand technical concepts and methodologies.
