Job Title: Cloud Service Analyst
Location: McLean, VA
Responsibilities
Trace Systems is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Service Analyst to support the planning, implementation, and management of our cloud-based systems and services. This entry-to-mid level role provides day-to-day operational support, documentation, and troubleshooting for cloud environments. The ideal candidate will bring a working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCC High, or similar), a strong technical foundation, and the ability to collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational support for cloud services, including account provisioning, access management, and monitoring.
- Assist with deployment, configuration, and administration of cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
- Support security and compliance requirements for cloud environments, ensuring adherence to organizational and regulatory standards.
- Document system configurations, processes, and best practices to strengthen organizational knowledge.
- Independetly evaluate and analyze service tickets, identify patterns, anomalies, and root causes, and provide actionable analysis and recommendations to senior engineers.
- Contribute to ongoing cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
- Participate in testing, patching, and updates to maintain system performance and reliability.
Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900).
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900).
- Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals (AI-900).
- 13 years of experience working with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCC High, or similar).
- Currently administering Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
- Currently deploys and managed secure Azure workloads (VMs, NSGs, Azure AD, backups).
- Familiarity with security and compliance requirements in government or regulated environments is a plus.
Desired Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) and infrastructure-as-code frameworks (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates).
- Hands on experience with Power Apps, Power BI, etc.
Education:
- High School with college studies in Information Assurance and/or Cybersecurity, Security Policies, or related Cybersecurity fields.
