$53.80 - $80.70
Job Summary : The Adult Acute Care Pharmacist provides patient-centered care to patients for adult acute care patients. This position must: provide pharmaceutical care to patients to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes; promote cost-effective drug therapy; provide assistance in educating pharmacy students, PGY1 and PGY2 residents; participate in research projects to improve patient outcomes; participate on Medical Center and Department committees; adhere to the general hospital standards to promote cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building; assist with verification of medication orders and distribution of pharmaceutical products; coordinate and participate in the education of pharmacist and other health care professionals in regards to pharmacotherapy; initiate and/or participate in medication utilization evaluations; participate in the drug therapy management in emergency situations; assist in developing and implementing treatment protocols in order to improve patient care.

How You'll Impact Patient care :
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Process medication orders and prescriptions from physicians and nurses.
- Supervise technicians to ensure timely and accurate medication dispensing, optimizing staff utilization.
- Deliver pharmaceutical care for optimal patient outcomes.
- Contribute to quality improvement efforts through teamwork.
- Continuously update and document skills and knowledge.
- Maintain documentation for compliance with standards and regulations.
- Set personal goals to support departmental objectives.
- Provide age-appropriate care following guidelines.
- Foster a cooperative work environment through effective communication and teamwork.
What You Will Need:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) is required.
- Current state pharmacist license in good standing through North Carolina Board of Pharmacy is required.
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency or equivalent experience is required.
Nice To Have (Not Required) :
- Completion of a PGY2 Critical Care or Pharmacotherapy residency is preferred.
- Board Certification is preferred.
- Previous mentorship of pharmacy residents is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Possesses strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Takes self-initiative to innovate and collaborate with team members.
