Seeking a visible, on the ground physician executive leader for the role of Chief Medical Officer at Wellstar North Fulton Medical Center in Roswell, Georgia. The Opportunity:
Wellstar Health System announces an exceptional opportunity for an exemplary physician leader to serve as the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Wellstar North Fulton Medical Center. The healthcare system is nationally ranked and locally recognized for high-quality care, inclusive culture and exceptional physicians, advanced practice providers and caregivers. Reporting to the Hospital President with a strong matrix relationship to the EVP of Clinical Integration, the Chief Medical Officer will be a member of the executive leadership team for Wellstar North Fulton and will work collaboratively with the local leaders. The CMO is a leader of clinical initiatives aimed at improving quality, safety, patient and physician satisfaction while managing costs, reducing the length of stay, improving care coordination and clinical productivity. The CMO is responsible physician relations, medical staff communications, and ensuring clinical input into strategic planning. The physician executive will have leadership oversight of performance for medical management and patient care metrics, safety initiatives, quality and service excellence, case management, physician leadership development, physician relations, implementation of clinical information systems, medical staff affairs support, continuing medical education and assistance, physician performance improvement and physician recruitment.

Requirements
The Ideal Candidate:
Minimum of 10-15 years of experience as a clinical physician required; may work clinically (0.1 FTE).
Minimum of 7 years of physician leadership experience in an acute care setting, including experience as a Chief Medical Officer required.
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine required.
Eligible for licensure in the State of Georgia.
Certification as a Physician Executive (CPE) or other advanced physician leadership certification preferred.
Background in quality and safety, strong relationship-building skills, and credibility with procedural and service-line leaders are essential.
Strong interpersonal qualities and the demeanor and style to quickly establish the credibility in the organization with superior physician relation building skills.
An ability to organize and present data in a concise and easily understood manner, often to professionals, physicians, and board members.
Ability to use data to create accountability structures to drive success.
An understanding of statistical analysis, clinical epidemiology, best practices, and how to successfully introduce information technology into clinical practice.
An inspiring leader who can drive clinical quality and build a strong management team which is driven by and accountable for results; a proven ability and record of leading an organization through growth, change and expansion.
