What this job involves:

We are seeking an experienced Associate Commercial Manager to lead commercial activities across multiple construction projects. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen who can drive profitability, manage risk, and ensure successful project delivery while maintaining client relationships.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Lead commercial strategy and execution across assigned construction projects
• Manage contract administration, variations, and claims from initiation to final account
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
• Oversee project budgeting, forecasting, and cost control processes
• Negotiate commercial terms with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Monitor project profitability and cash flow throughout project lifecycle
• Prepare monthly commercial reports and forecasts for senior management

Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:

• Experience across various construction sectors (commercial, residential, infrastructure)
• International project experience
• Background in dispute resolution and adjudication
• Experience with design and build or NEC contracts

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• Professional membership (MRICS, MCIOB) preferred
• 8+ years of commercial management experience in construction industry
• Expert knowledge of construction contracts and commercial law
• Advanced proficiency in cost management software and MS Office Suite
• Strong understanding of construction methods, processes, and regulations
• Experience with project management software (Procore, Aconex, etc.)
