The Assistant Golf Professional supports the Director of Golf in overseeing daily golf operations, providing exceptional member and guest service, and promoting an enjoyable golf experience. This role plays a key part in golf shop operations, tournament administration, teaching, merchandising, and fostering strong member relations.

Experience Required

• PGA Associate, PGA Member, or actively pursuing PGA membership required.
• Prior experience in golf operations, instruction, or golf shop merchandising (private club experience a plus).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for delivering exceptional member service.
• Knowledge of golf rules, handicapping, and tournament operations software (Golf Genius, GHIN, etc.).
• Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily operations of the Golf Shop, practice facility, and cart staging area, ensuring a world class, personalized experience for the Colonial members.
• Lead and supervise the golf services staff to ensure a world class golf experience.
• Deliver outstanding service by greeting members and guests, answering questions, and resolving concerns promptly and professionally.
• Manage and enforce the Club's golf rules and policies.
• Support the planning, organization, and execution of golf tournaments and special events.
• Provide individual and group golf instruction, clinics, and junior programs, as directed by the Director of Instruction.
• Assist with inventory control, merchandising displays, sales, and Golf Shop cleanliness.
• Play golf with members to build relationships and encourage engagement in club programs.
• Compete in NTPGA and other tournaments.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the Golf Department.
