This division is a key partner in track maintenance, construction, and locomotive manufacturing. It includes Amertrack Rail, Trackmobile, Zephir, and Powerhouse, delivering essential services to maintain and enhance rail operations.Job Summary:The Track Inspection and Job Site Management Assistant is responsible for assisting with track inspections, ensuring service meets customer needs, and supporting job site management. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining quality standards and resolving customer service issues.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Operations personnel to ensure customer requirements and schedules are met.
- Assist in identifying and resolving customer service issues promptly.
- Inspect customer facilities for defects in need of repair and provide detailed reports to Estimators for bidding purposes.
- Maintain service quality by adhering to organizational standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
- High school diploma required.
- 3-5 years of experience in construction preferred.
- Project management experience, including cost analysis, budgeting, and estimating, is a plus.
- At least 2 years of field experience in construction preferred.
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with customers and vendors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
- Strong communication skills, including verbal, non-verbal, and written communication.
- Excellent teamwork, initiative, resilience, and tact.
- Decision-making skills with a focus on safety and quality.
- Solid understanding of construction practices and ability to build relationships within the organization and industry.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and communicate effectively with groups of customers or team members.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions.
- Capable of addressing issues involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Work primarily takes place at customer locations, including outdoor environments and active construction sites.
- Frequent exposure to uneven terrain, railroad tracks, moving mechanical parts, and environmental elements such as weather and airborne particles.
- The employee must be able to navigate safely through these environments.
- Must be able to travel as needed.
- Valid driver's license in good standing required.
- Starting Salary: $55,000
- Comprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision benefits package, including 401(k) matching and more.
